Dinner is served... No chair necessary...

Ok. So I just saw a commercial for a home cleaner, and in that commercial they featured a resteraunt that has its customers eat and sit on the floor!!! How cool is that? I have for the life of me always wanted to eat while sitting on the floor at a resteraunt. For years actually I have been trying to organize a group of friends (I will not eat alone) to go out to a Japanese resteraunt simply because I heard a rumor that you can eat on the floor there. Quite frankly I don't care what kind of food it is (though for the record I do love Japanese food) as long as the floor is a seating option. For whatever reason, I truly believe that food tastes better while being eaten on the floor. It's more fun, it's different and, well I just simply like the idea of it. So far the closest I have gotten is crawling under the table at a staff dinner a couple weeks ago. I used to do that all the time as a kid to avoide having to hassle people to move so I could play video games. Apparently the action of crawling under the table is still second nature for me, and I hope it always will be. So here's to hoping that over the Christmas break, when my friends return home, and are once again mine, that I will get the chance to eat off of the floor.

While eating off of the floor is definitly in my top ten things to do over the break, it is not the only event I hope to partake in. I do, however, realize that most of the things I want to do will not happen. I have learned this in my many years on the planet. I consistantly allow myself to get excited, only to become dissapointed when certain events do not pan out. Thus my more realistic, as opposed to idealistic thought is to have various events and ideas so that they can distract me from the things that dont happen. I hope to go skating in toronto (you would be surprised how many Canadians do not own skates! It would astound you, or maybe I just attract those that dont own them, or maybe this is their excuse to get out of a cheezy day in toronto, I do not tknow). I also want to go snowboarding for the day and eat beaver tails, hang out and play in the snow.. I would actually settle for making snow forts and having a snowball fight, or both if I luck out. Bowling would be fun, but it's non winter event so it doesn't really count. I know I will get to go for walks with Kelly (this is our tradition since we were young) . I also know that I will get Bre and crackers, left over from Kelly's family Christmas party, and that we will eat it watching some movie (how to lose a guy in 10 days, quite possibly) while her parents are out at a party being way cooler than we will ever be... ha ha. I would love to introduce Kelly to the world of linedancing and more specifically Nashville north, but that is one of my idealistic moments that I dont think will happen... Maybe I can fish out the old shania video we used to watch and dance around to when I was younger and too scared to stay home alone... Oh and apparently kelly is making us a "classic" driving cd.. A few years ago our driving "tape" was The Doors music.. This year we have come to the agreement that it will be a combo of Stompin Tom and various other musical guests!! I hope to hang out with my brother over the break as well (it is not a break for me, I still have to work, the break for me is more like a return of the way things used to be. My closest freinds are home, and everyone has the rare chance to share time without the complications of school or distance... ) I may even take a trip to the museaum or somewhere else that is at my disposal, that I dont ever take advantage of...
